The Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 rally car had a DOHC 4-cylinder engine mounted to the right side between the driver's seat and rear wheel. With a triple K turbo charger the Peugeot 205 boasted a powerful 350hp output. A 4WD drive train with innovative epicyclic gear box provided traction control allowing for top performances on all surfaces. Initially entering the 1985 season as a testing year, the Peugeot 205 produced excellent results taking victory after victory, eventually totally dominating the 1985 season and giving Peugeot and driver Timo Salonen the Championship.
